Jeff Lang as Baron Elberfeld/Admiral Von Schreiber

This is not Jeff Lang’s first outing with Emma Knights Productions, having won great acclaim for his portrayal of greasy lawyer Billy Flynn in “Chicago” in 2017. Jeff’s taking on the challenge of not just playing two different characters in this show, but also taking on two different accents in order to play them!

Jeff says that, like his character, he’s fairly direct, which was further highlighted when he later stated that “The Sound of Music” is far from a favourite show (shhh, Jeff, play along!!!), but that as a classic, it holds a special place nonetheless. He cites the West End production of ‘Charlie and the Chocolate Factory” as a favourite (and takes pains to emphasise the American adaptation is far inferior – a sentiment with which I agree, having also been impressed by the West End show in 2013), and that his most moving experience on stage was while playing the adult male in Spring Awakening.

Jeff Lang is another cast member who says that The Lonely Goatherd is his favourite number, it’s certainly my favourite one to sing, and I hope that it doesn’t become an annoying earworm for you all!
